I’m going to bite the bullet and study conjunctions (1/4)

"to bite the bullet" -> It's a idiom, the idioms was created to express ideas in a different way (and to torture English learners 馃榿).

Wikipedia suggests that there are over 25,000 idiomatic expressions in the English language. So, after today you know a new one. 馃殌

You can use "to bite the bullet" when you "decide to do something difficult or unpleasant that one has been putting off or hesitating over."

As far as I can tell that "I’m going to bite the bullet and study conjunctions" one more time.

I'm going to start with Clauses of contrast. You use contrast clauses when you want to make two statements, one of which contrasts with the other or makes it appear unexpected or surprising.


My yesterday class was about conjunctions, after that I read the explanation from test-english and I made a summary:

although, even though
(aunque, aunque)
followed by a clause (subject + verb)

Even though English isn't his native language, he can talk in English. However, sometime he feels than nobody understand him despite of repeating a couple of time. Nevertheless, he tries and tries in spite of he want to throw in the towel although it is the only way to achieve his goals.

 My name is Paola, I'm a System  Engineer and I work in a software development company therefore we create new solutions for international customer so my company's official language is English.


I started to study and practice English in order to improve my communication skills since I have to talk frequently with the client although I have to said that It has been a really hard path.


I think one of the most difficult things about learn English is you don't know how start even though you can access to an amount of information. Additionally, You must be constant and patience for the lack of this second quality I feel frustrate sometimes consequently I need to find different ways to feel that I improve and I'm doing my best for this reason I created this blog because I want capture the process for improving my writing communication.


It's a personal blog, maybe nobody see it but if you read that... "Hi" and "Welcome".
